National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a national scholarship
examination which aims to identify and nurture the talent of class 10
students and awards scholarships on the basis of their performances
in the exam. The NTSE is a two-tier examination which has been
conducted since 1963. The NTSE Stage 1 is a state-level exam,
conducted by the respective State Councils of Educational Research
Training (SCERT). The successful candidates in stage 1 are qualified
for the stage 2 exam which is conducted by the National Council of
Educational Research Training (NCERT), New Delhi. This year, the NTSE
2019
stage 1 was conducted by various states on November 3
and 4,
2018.
The national level NTSE Stage 2 Exam 2019
shall be conducted by the NCERT, New Delhi on Second
week of May 2019,.
The NTSE Stage 1 consists of topics such as Mental Ability Test
(MAT), Scholastic Ability Test (SAT) and Language Ability Test (LAT).
The successful candidates in NTSE Stage 2 will be awarded
scholarships till they complete their Ph.D. or Postgraduation, as the
case may be. Candidates can go through the complete details on NTSE such as scholarships, Reservation Criteria, Eligibility Criteria,

NTSE Eligibility Criteria 2019
Eligibility
Criteria for the NTSE 2019 for Stage 1
-
NTSE Stage-I is conducted by State/UT bodies. Only Indian students are eligible to appear in this level.

The students studying in Class X are eligible for appearing in the test.

They are required to have obtained 60% marks in their Class IX, in the last academic year.
-
The aspirant must be presently student of a school affiliated by a recognized board.
Eligibility
Criteria for the NTSE 2018 for Stage 2
Candidates
who score more than 80% in the state-level examination and fall
within the top ranks of the state (as specified in state quotas) can
appear for the national-level examination conducted by NCERT. The
details of the state quota will be made available on the official
website of the NCERT.
NTSE
Result 2019
NTSE Result for stage 1 is announced separately by each conducting
state/UT. Candidates can check their NTSE Result 2019 for stage 1
exam by loging in through the official link. To check the NTSE 2019
result, candidates have to enter their registration number or roll
number and date of birth. The
result of stage 2 exam of NTSE will be announced in online mode June
2019. The scholarships will be awarded to only those who will qualify
the national level NTSE 2019 exam.
